PILGRIM'S PRAYER

(Recite before beginning your parish pilgrimage.)

Heavenly Father, You have made us in Your own image and likeness, and have sent Your Son to be Our Savior by dying for us on the Cross.
As we journey on our pilgrimage, increase our spiritual hunger for the Real Presence of Jesus in the Most Holy Eucharist. Prepare our hearts to receive Him more worthily and with a greater love.
Strengthen our desire and commitment to adore Him together with our families and friends.  Make us instruments of peace, reconciliation and forgiveness in our families, cities and nation.
Send your Holy Spirit upon us to renew all the members of our parish with a great fervor for the New Evangelization and the salvation of souls.
Thank you for the gift of the Blessed Virgin Mary who leads us ever closer to Your Son.  May our fellow pilgrims receive graces of wisdom and understanding as we pray for her intercession.
We make this prayer in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, One God forever and ever.  Amen.

PILGRIM'S BLESSING

(Recite at the conclusion of your parish pilgrimage.)

Good and gracious God, you sent your Son to live and dwell among us.  We thank you for this gift of unselfish love and we ask that you bless each of our pilgrims as they prepare to go out and share your reconciliation, peace, and love with others throughout our parish.  Bless them, Lord, and keep them in your arms as they become your ambassadors of God’s Word.

May God the Father protect us and keep us in His loving care.  May Jesus of Calvary and of Emmaus walk with our pilgrims and all those who they will encounter on their own journeys of Faith.  May the Spirit give us clarity of mind, strength of heart, and a sure foot as we all journey through this life.  And may almighty God bless us, in the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.  AMEN
