Review the list of ministries on the parish website. Choose a ministry and interview the ministry coordinator regarding the spiritual benefits of the ministry. Ask the coordinator if you can participate in the ministry on a trial basis. Consider volunteering for a ministry as a long term goal.

THE STORE

Perform a random act of kindness. On a Saturday or Sunday morning, buy coffee for ten random people at a local convenience store. Tell them you are doing this as part of a pilgrimage for your parish. Invite someone to go with you and take pictures.

THE PANTRY

Spend a morning distributing food at the Lower Wyoming County Food Pantry. Take note of items that are needed and consider making a subsequent donation. Invite another person to go with you and take pictures.

THE KITCHEN

Volunteer to serve a meal at St. Francis of Assisi Soup Kitchen in Scranton. Bring a food donation with you. Invite a friend to come along and take pictures.

THE VENERATION

Visit the graves of your deceased family members. Take flowers or another remembrance to leave. Say prayers for the repose of the souls of your loved ones.

THE ABSOLUTION

Recall a person you have wronged at some time in your life. Write a note to that person asking for forgiveness. Say prayers asking God for forgiveness.
